Cookies on our website
To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. By using our website, you agree to the use of cookies. If you do not accept our use of cookies, you can withdraw your consent by changing the settings in your web browser. Please note, however, that this could cause the services provided on our website not to work properly. The information provided here applies to all websites owned by Aleris.
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device. Use of cookies is very common and can, for example, be used to store login details or record how a website is used. Cookies can be useful for both the site owner and the user. In order to protect the user's privacy and communication equipment, information must be provided and consent obtained when a company wishes to use cookies. Aleris Helse complies with these requirements. See below for more information about our use of cookies.
By using our website, you agree to the use of cookies. A default browser setting stating that the user accepts cookies is considered consent according to Norwegian law. If you do not accept our use of cookies, you can withdraw your consent by changing the settings in your web browser. Please note, however, that this could cause the services provided on our website not to work properly. For more information about this, please see below.
What does Aleris use cookies for?
Aleris employs cookies to help us analyse how visitors use our website. We use this information to develop and improve our website and our products, for technical purposes to ensure our website is operating properly and to optimise the site and for marketing purposes, such as measuring the effectiveness of our online marketing activities or for targeted advertising. For more information about which cookies we use, the type of data processed, who processes the data and why, please see below.
1.1 Analysis of visitor behaviour
Analysing visitor behaviour is valuable to us in connection with the development and improvement of our websites and our products and services. We use cookies to help us do this. The data used in this connection is anonymised. In other words, no information that can be directly linked to you as an individual is processed. The following cookies are used for this purpose:
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is an analysis tool that collects information on how users interact with our website. We use this information to improve the website's usability, content and functionality. Google Analytics also allows us to analyse the traffic coming into our website, so that we can measure the impact of our marketing.
Google Analytics cookies are stored anonymously at Google. IP addresses are anonymised by means of Google’s IP masking feature. This means that your IP address is stored in an anonymous form and therefore cannot be traced back to you. Examples of other information stored include which pages are visited, how long a visit lasts, in which country and which city a visitor is located and whether the visit is made from a PC or a mobile phone.
Aleris, our digital communications agency and our web development partners have access to the anonymised data in Google Analytics.
The following cookies are set by Google Analytics:
_ga
This cookie is used to distinguish between users. This is done anonymously through an assigned user ID. The cookie is automatically deleted 2 years after the user last visited the website.
_gid
This cookie is used to distinguish between users. This is done anonymously. The cookie is automatically deleted 24 hours after a visit.
_gat
Used to limit the number of requests that need to be made to Doubleclick.net. This cookie does not store user information and is automatically deleted after 1 minute.
AMP_TOKEN
This cookie stores an anonymous client ID so that Google will recognise a user. This is used by websites that have Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), which allow extremely fast loading of a simplified version of the website on a mobile device. The client ID is to let Google know if a user has previously been exposed to the AMP version of the website.
_gac_ <property-id>
This cookie contains information related to our advertising campaigns in Google. It enables more precise analysis of how our marketing with Google AdWords is working. The cookie contains campaign information, site address and time. It is deleted automatically after 90 days.
If you do not wish to send information to Google Analytics, you can prevent this by installing Google's opt-out tool in your browser https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/
1.2. Technical purposes
In order for our websites to function in a technically optimal manner, we use cookies. This means, among other things, that we are able to distinguish different visitors from each other. The following cookies are used for this purpose:
ASP.NET_Sessionld
The ASP.NET_SessionID cookie is used by Episerver. Episerver is our online technical and publishing solution, used to manage the various users that are using our site at any given time. All users will be assigned a cookie with a user ID that is only valid as long as you are on our website. After the visit, or when you close your browser, the cookie expires. The cookie does not collect data and does not store any data about you.
Episerver Cookies (used by our technical solution Episerver)
Episerver places cookies on your device to distinguish different visitors from each other and to remember whether a visitor has accepted our cookies.
Episerver also uses cookies if you submit a contact form to the website.
EPI:NumberOfVisits
Used to personalise content based on how often a user has visited the website.
.EPiForm_VisitorIdentifier
Used when a visitor submits a form to the website, it enables Episerver to keep track of which user has submitted which form. This cookie automatically expires after 90 days.
.EPiForm_BID
Used when a visitor fills out a form on the website, so that Episerver can keep track of which form is being filled out. This cookie automatically expires after 90 days.
EPiForm_ {FormGuid}: {Username}
Used for temporary storage when you fill out a form on the website, so you can continue to fill out the form if you are interrupted before submitting it. This cookie automatically expires after 90 days.
EPiServerLogin, .ASPXRoles, EPiDPCKEY
Used only if a user logs in to our website, it then stores information about the user's access and rights. This applies to Aleris Helse’s own marketing department staff and our web developers. This cookie automatically expires when the browser is closed.
Cloudflare cfduid
The _cfduid cookie is used by Cloudflare to distinguish between devices behind a shared IP address. An example of this might be if you visit our website when connected to a cafe’s unsecured network. The Cloudflare cookie is then used to confirm that the visit is from a known device. The cookie does not correspond to the user ID in your browser and does not store any information that can identify a unique user.
Microsoft Azure ARRAffinity
ARRAffinity is used by Microsoft for websites hosted on the Windows Azure Cloud Platform.
Our website is hosted on a cloud solution provided by Episerver, that comprises many different server installations. When you visit our site, this cookie will send you to the same server for each new subpage you visit. The cookie contains random but unique values that are deleted when you close your browser. It contains no personal information.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager to manage the application and customisation of codes on the website.
1.3. Marketing
We use cookies in connection with advertising on our own and third-party websites. To display advertisements of greater relevance to the user and to measure the response to our advertisements, we use some cookies. These cookies are issued by third parties and also mean that you may receive advertisements for our products and services when you visit websites other than ours. The following cookies are used for this purpose:

Aleris advertises on Google through the Google AdWords service. Google AdWords cookies allow us to measure the response to these advertisements on our sites, such as how many of those who clicked on a given ad in Google place an order on our website. The data is processed and stored by Google. The cookie collects information about your browser, device, geographic location and IP address. IP addresses are anonymised after 9 months. The information in the cookie will be deleted after 18 months. Aleris does not have access to your IP address through Google AdWords.

The purpose of this cookie is to provide you with more relevant information and advertisements tailored to your interests when using Facebook. Facebook stores data on servers in the EU and US. Aleris does not have access to information in your Facebook account or your IP address.
You can use the settings function to specify how Facebook may use any information it collects for ad management purposes: www.facebook.com/ads/settings
AdForm
AdForm is an advertising system that places third-party cookies in your browser. The cookie collects data to measure the effect of marketing through AdForm, and enables analysis of how well different advertisements work. The system also enables targeting, so that advertisements are as relevant as possible for the recipient, on the basis of their interests. The cookie collects information about your browser, the device you are using, your operating system, geographic location and interactions you have had with advertisements from the AdForm system. The system is exposed to your IP address but Aleris has enabled IP masking so that IP addresses are only stored in a masked form. All data is stored on AdForm's servers in Denmark.
